Making has always been a passion of mine, and it has been the foundation of my career as both an engineer and a woodworker. Growing up in Massachusetts as the oldest of four brothers, I was always drawn to designing, building, and figuring out how things worked. That same curiosity and love of making eventually led me to pursue a career in engineering.

I began my engineering career in 2013 as a Mechanical Design Engineer, designing products for the mining, material transport, and hydro power industries. After five years, I moved into the defense industry as a Systems, Integration, and Test Engineer. Throughout my engineering career, I developed a deep appreciation for problem solving, thoughtful design, precision, and finding practical solutions to complex challenges.

In 2024, I made the decision to leave the engineering field and pursue woodworking full time. Today, I get to bring the same passion for problem solving, designing, and building that shaped my engineering career into every project I create at Vetere Custom Woodworks.

Whether it's custom cabinetry designed around the unique layout of a home or a piece of furniture built around a customer's vision, I enjoy figuring out how to turn an idea into something functional, beautiful, and built to last. Combining engineering principles with hands-on craftsmanship allows me to approach each project from both a design and construction perspective, creating custom cabinetry and furniture that are truly made for the people who use them.
